Arnold Creek Cat Retreat offers a safe and tranquil home-away-from-home where feline guests enjoy their own rooms (there are no cages) with all of the comforts of home, including daily brushing, petting and playtime. Whether you're out of town on vacation, a business trip or experiencing a home remodel, you can count on us to provide exceptional care for your cat.

Arnold Creek Cat Retreat is located in a beautiful, wooded setting overlooking Arnold Creek in SW Portland, Oregon. Owner, Shirley Catterall lives on site and is close-at-hand to provide the high level of trained care and pampering her guests have become accustomed to. Since the doors first opened at the Cat Retreat in 2004, Shirley has developed a loyal following of clients and veterinarians who appreciate her experience as a trained veterinary technician, as well as her caring demeanor. All of this makes it much easier for pet owners to relax knowing they've left their loved ones in capable and caring hands.

Our feline guests enjoy their own bright and airy room with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay, including soft, clean bedding, shelves to perch on, food and water dishes, a litter box and toys. Each guest suite features a big picture window to give kitty-cat a "birds-eye" view of the outdoor world where they may enjoy lovely views of the gardens or the forested backyard. Rooms average 6' x 4' and are walk-in high with 7' ceilings.

You can relax knowing that in addition to being "serious cat people," Shirley and her capable staff are highly-trained veterinary technicians and able to provide extended medical treatment for cats with non-contagious ailments. Administering routine medications such as oral tablets, insulin injections, ear, eye or other topical treatments are included in the daily boarding fee.
