| Arnold Creek Cat Retreat is a popular cat only boarding facility in Southwest Portland, Oregon. Open since May 2004, Arnold Creek Cat Retreat has become a favorite destination for cats whose owners are out of town on short, medium or long term vacation or business trips. The Cat Retreat is situated overlooking Arnold Creek within a tranquil woodland setting where all guests will enjoy a peaceful, relaxing and pampered stay. Shirley Catterall, the sole owner and proprietor of Arnold Creek Cat Retreat, lives on site. Shirley has established a flourishing and well respected business. However, she is always seeking ways to improve the services she offers her clients. Shirley is fortunate to have a wonderful support staff to assist in pampering the guests. Victoria, Ellen and Loralei, all Licensed Veterinary Technicians and serious 'cat' people, provide the same quality of care that Shirley's clients/guests have come to expect over the years. |

At Arnold Creek Cat Retreat all guests are accommodated in their own rooms -- NOT cages. Each room has a shelf beneath a large window for prime bird watching, a cozy bed, food and water dishes, a litter box and toys. There are additional shelves at different heights around each room. For those long winter nights, there are lights controlled by a dimmer switch in each room. Skylights in the main area provide additional light. The rooms vary in size, but on average measure 6'x4' and are walk-in at 7' high. Only cats from the same household are allowed to share a room. All guests are provided the opportunity to frolic in the main room at least three times each day during feeding, cleaning and play time. Cats from different households will NOT be in contact with one another. All guests must be currently vaccinated against FVRCP and Rabies. Proof of vaccination must be provided when cats arrive for boarding. The Proof of Vaccination will be kept on file, so only updated vaccine information or any other changes to boarders' information should be brought after the initial stay. |
We are happy to board cats with a variety of medical conditions. We do NOT charge extra for administering routine medications. For example, there is NO extra charge for administering oral tablets, insulin injections, ear, eye or other topical treatments. There will be a $3.00 per day fee for cats requiring 'special care' during their stay. We consider 'special care' to include subcutaneous fluids, post-operative bandage changes, syringe feeding or glucose monitoring. All potential fees for care outside of the regular boarding fees will be discussed at the time of arrival. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. |
